Milly's Birthday

Just a laid back simple birthday...just what I like!Brey in dress up mode puts on a show for mommy.
K so up until the day of my birthday, I was completely engulfed with extreme morning sickness. I had lost 6 lbs in two days and i was miserable!!!! Since we usually rotate each year having our birthdays in Utah and Arizona, and even though it was Utahs turn, I wasnt about to travel! So unbeknown to me, my super sweet family in Utah made a surprise visit and snuck into our home while david purposely had me out of the house with him. When we got home, the kitchen and family area was completely decorated for a birthday party. And then about 3 seconds of standing in shock, my family jumped out from under the island. What?!?! SHOCK! Wow..didn't see that one coming eventhough i hoped they would come and since i told david like 50 times i would be so sad if they didnt come for my birthday. I have the best family ever!

We just spent the day enjoying time together and then we went out to Claim Jumper. MMM..YUMMY! Got some nice gifts but the best one was the fact that my MS seemed to have vanished for me to enjoy the day more fully... sincere Thanks to Heaven! And thanks to my David and the family for planning a great birthday!

Camp Baker

This July we took a trip to Utah for an entire week with David. We went camping in Baker. Was the hottest camping trip I ever remembered taking but since it was a lot cooler than Arizona we didn't mind too much although the generator was on practically the entire time to accomodate those that felt it was TOO HOT. I won't mention any names. They know who they are. ;)

DaViDs 24th BiRtHdAy!

Im bad at being current with our blog journaling as it shows but ...Oh well. Better late than never.

The family came to celebrate David's special day. While david was at work we ran streamers and balloons everywhere, that it looked like a giant web in our house. We just kept it a small thing so we had gifts, dinner, desert and a little family time at home.

Then the next day to continue the party, we went to a local golf course and hit the drivng range! SUPER FUN! None of us really knew what we were doing but it was cool to take a swing regardless.

a M.E.S. of a Birthday!

Monica Elisabeth Stroud...the parents youngest child... is now 18!! Look OUT world here she comes!! Moni's real birthday was interupted because of an accident that Brey and my mom had with the concrete stairs. So poor little monica spent her birthday taking care of mom who got pretty banged up protecting breyonna from a possible fatal blow to the head. :( (The things we go through for our chilren as a mother and grandma).

So we all felt bad and decided to have a little surprise party for monica a couple days later. A yes she was actually SURPRISED. Then we also took her for a little taste of Hibatchi at the Ninja..super good stuff!

Easter...NOT just about the Egg Hunt...

No doubt Easter is a fun time of year with the excitement of gathered family, good food , and egg hunts for the kids. But there is something much more exciting about it to our family. It is in remembering the true meaning of Easter. It is the selfless, beautiful and priceless gift that Heavenly Father and Christ gave to mankind which is the sacrifices they both made in order for Christ to become the SAVIOR of the WORLD. I am so grateful for the Attonement and Ressurection!!!Our Easter this year was mostly just an egg hunt for Brey in the back yard and sitting around watching the Easter movies that were playing on tv. We didn't do much mainly because we had a family Easter party in Utah a couple weeks before. We are spoiled with two of everything it seems, all because we live in two worlds...the place we reside in for job's sake and the place we love to be! ;)

You're so my cupcake!

We really LOVE eachother so much we made YUMMY cupcakes together for eachother!! David brought us girls home some pretty flowers and a big heart shaped balloon that sang..."It feels so good to be loved by you"!!! Went to Texas Road House together which is always a treat too. Kinda like what Brey was thinking while she spent the next several days eating cupcakes for brunch. A TREAT! :0

And this is the parents at home enjoying their V-day together. CUTE!

A Pretty Awesome Pheasant Hunt

Holy Manoly it was so cool to spend some family time doing something that we all enjoy doing...shooting! And at pheasants no less! Poor litte pheasants..they didn't stand a chance against our awesome shooting skills! ;) It was a pretty cool day. Thanks Padre for taking us!

...Elder

Hey Ya Birthday Boy!! We just couldn't help ourselves...We went a little crazy and got together and made a HUGE attempt at singing the birthday song for you...If that wasnt enough of a challenge we had to try it in Spanish. But who knows what language it sounds like!!!! It really turned into an Americas NOT-SO-FUNNY Home Video. We don't mean to scare you on your Big Day. But we really just want you to know that we are thinking about you and hope that you have a WONDERFUL Birthday!!! Always in our thoughts...

Love, Your Family:

Dad, Mom, Monica, David, Amelia, Brey & Baby Rico(davids name for the baby in the oven, tho we dont know if it is a Rico or a Rosa ....yet. ha ha)

This is just for laughs....Our first attempt.
