BREY'S 1ST YEAR OF PRESCHOOL:
Well, David and I decided to put Breyonna in preschool where she could get some speech therapy going at a younger age. So she started going once a week on Fridays to Circle Cross Ranch K8 back in February. It's about a 15 minute drive from home so not too bad. It's been a great starter school for her. She has had an amazing preschool teacher and an outstanding speech therapist. :) Mrs. Bridgeford and Mrs Amanda Hill.
Because of a two week spring break and a couple trips out of town, as well as the once a week thing, Breyonna only had about 10 or 11 school days that she actually went to this year. However, her teacher gave us the papers showing that she has mastered all goals in speech and does not recommend her for anymore speech therapy. That is so fantastic as a parent to know and hear that my child's speech has improved greatly in such a short amount of time. Ethan loved taking Breyonna to school with me every Friday and without a doubt gave me a headache with his screaming each time we would return home without his sister. Haha. :) Breyonna graduated from preschool last month on May 18th. Now we are left to decide if we will pay for her to go to preschool next year or wait to put her back in school until kindergarten. Brey said her favorite day of school this year was when I wen to her classroom for Mom's Day for a MD picnic where she presented me with a cute necklace that she made for me. :) I loved that day as well. She also loved the last day of school since she had water play, movie time and a pizza party. Breyonna loved having her whole family there that day.
TEAM ITALY:
David and I asked Breyonna if she would like to join a soccer team. She said yes. We registered her for Spring Soccer with the San Tan Sports Academy. Brey's first game was on April 14th and she ended the season on June 9th. It has been so much fun watching her play and seeing her get excited to go to practice and the games each week. She had 8 games in the season. At her first game, she got nervous because someone brushed up against her so she came to me and started crying and said she couldn't do it and that she didn't want to play anymore. I had a serious but quick talk with her about the fact that I knew that she could do anything she wanted to do if she would try and give it her best. She finally agreed to get back in the game. Not more than 15 seconds back on the field, she got her very first goal and she was SO PROUD of herself! I was one proud mama as well. :) Long story short, ever since that first goal, she has loved soccer!! She has pushed herself to do the best that she can and, we are PROUD!!
